“We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.” (2 Corinthians 5:8-9). Paul had no fear of dying. He had committed to living his life in such a way that whether by death or life, he would bring honor and glory to Christ. One day, you and I will stand before God and give an account of how we have used this life. We long to hear these words “Well done, thou good and faithful servant” (Matthew 25:21). We are to commit our lives to bring honor and glory to Christ, so that we may be accepted of God. Can you say for certainty, that to be absent from the body is to be in the presence of the Lord?
Have a Blessed Day!
