“I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings” (Jeremiah. 17:10). Do the deeds, or actions of other people cause you to wonder about their relationship to God. This verse reveals to us that we are an “open book” to God, absolutely nothing is hidden from His view. However, we are also told to repent of our sins. Peter wrote, “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” (2 Peter 3:9). Repentance is personal, no one can accomplish this for another. Thank God that He cares enough to search our heart, examine our mind and bring conviction when we need His forgiveness. Tell God “like it is.” He already knows your heart. He is just waiting for you and me to admit our need.
Have a Blessed Day!
