“For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:” (Ephesians 2:14-16). To understand what Paul was trying to convey we need to know what wall he is talking about. Within the temple, there a wall separated the Court of the Jews from the Court of Gentiles. Through His death on the cross, Jesus broke down that wall and remove the hostility making both one. We are all one in Christ. Jew, Gentile, black, white, red, and yellow; Jesus died for all to makes us one. As Jesus said in His prayer; “That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.” (John 17:21). It is time we set aside all our differences in the church and become one that the world may know Christ. We are one in Christ.
Have a Blessed Day!
