“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” (2 Timothy 1:7). Paul was writing this to encourage Timothy, a young preacher. He was saying to him then and us today, don’t be afraid of this world and what it will do to us. Fear is not part of the Christian’s vocabulary. God has not given us a spirit of fear, but he put in us the Holy Spirit. Through the Holy Spirit, He gives us the power to overcome, love for all people, and a sound mind that is full of peace in the raging storm. Isaiah wrote; “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” (Isaiah 41:10). Trust God, rely on Him and His Word.
Have a Blessed Day
