Do You Fear God?

2 Cor 7_1B

“Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God” (2 Corinthians 7:1). I personally believe that the majority of believers along with the people of this world in which we live have no fear of God. I am not talking about shaking in your boots fear. I mean that we have no reverential awe of God the Father or even Christ who has saved us. Paul is telling us to cleanse ourselves from all filthiness and fear God, making our lives holy. In other words, live your life here on earth as if you were standing in His presence. As a matter of fact, you are standing in His presence at this moment because God is all around us and He lives in those that know Him.

Have a Blessed Day!
