Wait And Listen

“And after the earthquake a fire; but the LORD was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice. And it was so, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle, and went out, and stood in the entering in of the cave. And, behold, there came a voice unto him, and said, What doest thou here, Elijah?” (1 Kings 19:12-13). When God chooses to speak to Elijah, it is not in the wind, earthquake or fire, but it is in a still small voice. Today we do not hear that still small voice because we are so interested in the clamor of the world. The world grabs our attention when sends its winds, earthquakes, and fires. We need to let go of the world and focus on God. Take time to talk to God in prayer. Wait patiently for Him and listen to that still small voice.

Have a Blessed Day!
