“How amiable are thy tabernacles, O LORD of hosts!” (Psalm 84:1). The word “amiable” means lovely. Thinking on the loveliness of God’s dwelling place, two questions came to mind. First, do you love the house of God? The writer of Hebrews wrote, “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is;” (Hebrews 10:25). We are commanded to meet together to worship God, and to fellowship with other believers. The second question is, How lovely is your dwelling place? Paul wrote, “What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?” (1 Corinthians 6:19). If you are a child of God, then you are the temple of the Holy Spirit. God lives in you. Is your temple a lovely dwelling place for the Holy Spirit? Check your heart today, allow the Holy Spirit to cleanse you and make you lovely again.
Have a Blessed Day!
