God Will Provide

Gen 22_8A

“And Isaac spake unto Abraham his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here am I, my son. And he said, Behold the fire and the wood: but where is the lamb for a burnt offering? And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together.” (Genesis 22:7-8). God told Abraham to sacrifice his only son Isaac. Isaac was wondering where the lamb for the sacrifice was. Abraham said that God would provide, and God did indeed provide. Abraham was told by an angel not to harm the boy and as he turned around, there was a ram in the thicket. Almost 2000 years later another Father would lead His Son up a hill. This time there would be no reprieve, no ram in the thicket. Jesus would die on a hill called Calvary. He would die for the sins of the world. But This MAN

Hebrews 10_12

“And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins: But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God” (Hebrews 10:11-12). These two verses offer a contrast between the old covenant and the new covenant in Christ. In the old covenant, the priest stood continually offering the blood of bulls, goats, and lambs, which never took away the sins of the people. But in verse 12 “this man”, Jesus Christ offered Himself once, for the sins of the whole world. When He had accomplished this, He sat down on the right hand of God. Why did Jesus sit down? Because salvation was finished. When Jesus spoke those words in John 19:30, “It is finished,” God had provided a way for mankind to be saved, and that way is through Christ and Christ alone. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved. Love Of God

1 John 3_16

“Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.” (1 John 3:16). When you think of the love of God, do you see Jesus on the cross? Do you see Christ giving His Life, by dying in your place and for your sins? Because Jesus gave His life for us, we are to do the same. We are to continually lay down our lives for our brethren. Each day you and I are to demonstrate to them that same self-sacrificing love. Be prepared to share His love today whether in word or deed. Let the Love of God flow from you.

The Real Beauty Of Jesus

Isa 53_5

He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed” (Isaiah 53:3-5). Have you ever thought about the beauty of Jesus, what did He look like? We have many paintings of Christ, however, these portraits portray Jesus as the artist sees Him. The Scripture from Isaiah paints a different portrait, and it doesn’t sound very lovely. There wasn’t anything out of the ordinary about Christ. Jesus didn’t come earth to win a beauty contest, or to show off His muscles or His tanned body. He came to die! He came to be wounded for our transgressions, to be bruised for our iniquities. So, next time you examine a painting or picture of Christ, look beyond that and see the true beauty of Jesus at Calvary.
