Beginning today April 1, 2019, we will be taking a sabbatical from writing in order to concentrate on other areas of our life. We do not know what direction God is leading us. Please continue to pray for us and Thirsting For God Ministries.
“He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.” (Psalm 91:15). One thing that is very aggravating is to receive a phone call in which they don’t leave a message. But notice that will never ever happen with God. There may be a delay, but in His time God will answer and you can count on it. And when God does answer, He gives us exactly what is needed and when it is needed. Waiting on God is not always easy, but it does pay off in the end. Lida Shivers Leech wrote these words, “Trust Me, try Me, prove Me, saith the Lord of Hosts, and see if a blessing, unmeasured blessing, I will not pour out on thee.” Trust God He will answer.
“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” (John 10:10). Satan uses plenty of thieves that have come to steal, kill and destroy lives. He has blinded the mind of the unbelievers so that they can not see the glorious light of Christ. (2 Corinthians 4:4). But Jesus said in this verse that He has come to give spiritual life; a rich and full life. Do you want that abundant life that only Jesus can give? Then go to my website http://www.T4GM.org and click the link “How To Become A Christian?” Make Jesus your own personal Savior and Lord and receive that full and abundant life that only He can give.
“So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.” Genesis 1:27 Have you ever really examined that statement of fact; that God created you in His Own Image! When you look into a mirror what do you see? Is it a reflection of yourself? You and I were created to reflect the likeness of God. As you go through the day who will you reflect? Will those around you see a reflection of God or will they see the real you? Jesus said, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” (Matthew 5:16). Be a reflection of His image today.
“Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me” (Psalm 51:10). In this passage, David is crying out to God because there is sin in his life. David realizes the problem, confesses his sin, and petitioned God to forgive him and create within him a clean heart and a totally new spirit. God can do the same for us. No doubt there have been times in our lives when we have disappointed God when sin has entered our hearts. There is only one way to settle any sin question in your life. Confess your sin to God, forsake it and ask God for His forgiveness. David was a man after God’s own heart and God used him. God can use us too once we get our heart right with Him.
“Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord” (Romans 6:11). Paul is telling believers that we need to continually consider ourselves to be no longer dominated by sin. Not only are we to consider to be dead to sin and alive to God, but we are to believe this because it is a fact. Since Christ defeated sin at the cross, sin no longer has dominion over us (Romans 6:14). Now through Christ, we can enjoy a real life relationship with God the Father as His child. Don’t allow your sin to take away His joy, focus on being alive to God today.
“And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together.” (Genesis 22:8). Abraham is leading his son Isaac up a mountain to sacrifice him to God. Isaac asks “Where is the sacrifice?” Abraham replies “My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering.” Because of his obedience, God would stop Abraham and would provide a ram in the thicket. 2000 years later, another Father would lead His Son up a hill to be sacrificed. This time there would be no ram in the thicket, no reprieve. God, He would provide His own Son Jesus and sacrifice Him on a cross, for you and for me. As the Word of God says, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16).
