God In Flesh

Isa 9_6 2018

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given” (Isaiah 9:6). Isaiah spoke those words about Jesus over 600 years before Christ was born. This verse tells two things about Jesus. First, “a child is born” speaks of His humanity. He was born into this world just like you and me, and He would die. Secondly, “unto us a son is given,” this speaks of His deity. God gave a Son. That is exactly what John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”  He is truly God in flesh. Worship the Lord Our God

Psa 99_9B

Exalt the LORD our God, and worship at his holy hill; for the LORD our God is holy.” (Psalm 99:9). As believers, we are told to exalt God and worship Him because He is Holy. Worship is an act of submission to exalt God and Glorify Him. It is giving Him your loyalty and devotion for what He has done for you. As you gather with other believers today, remember, true worship is God-centered. Is not about you, the music, the preacher or the sermon. Worship is about God! Exalt, adore, love Him today. Let Him fill you with His presence. “Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.” (Psalm 29:2).

Put On The New Man

Col 3_10a

And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:” (Colossians 3:10). We all like to put on new clothes and dress up. This is what Paul is talking about; “Putting on the New Man.” The moment we accept Christ we become a new creation, a new man. Daily we must put on the new man renewed in the knowledge of God. This called sanctification, a daily process of setting ourselves apart unto God through prayer and applying His Word to our hearts. The more you come to know God the more you become like Him. Paul wrote, “For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.” (Romans 8:29). That is putting on the new man, to become more like Christ. Put on the New Man today.

Forgiveness

Psa 32_1

Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.” (Psalm 32:1-2). Forgiveness is a gracious act of God. Christ died on the cross of Calvary and His sinless blood covers our sins. Verse 5 of this same Psalm gives us the key to forgiveness, “I confessed my sin to You, and my iniquity I have not hidden. I said, I will confess my transgression to Jehovah; and You forgave the iniquity of my sin.” We confess our sins, and God forgives us of our sins. Have you confessed your sins and ask for forgiveness today? Do that right now and start today with a clean heart.

Trust In The Lord

Jer 17_7A

Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.” (Jeremiah 17:7). What are you really trusting in? For many people their trust is misplaced. They trust and put their love in things of this world, like money, fame and even people. This verse tells us that we are blessed when we place our trust in the Lord. The Lord is also our hope, there is nothing else we need. Once more I ask, what are you really trusting in to get you through the day? Trust in the Lord and let Him be your Hope.

God Loves You

John 3_16A

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16). Another reading of this verse is, “For God so loved YOU, that he gave his only begotten Son, that if YOU will believe in him, YOU will not perish, but have everlasting life.” God gave His own Son for you. He died in your place to bring eternal life. Do you know Jesus as your personal Savior, If not go to my website http://www.T4GM.org and click the link “How To Become A Christian.” God loves you.

Glory In The LORD

Jer 9_24

Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches: But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the LORD which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the LORD.” (Jeremiah 9:23-24). Just like in the days of Jeremiah, there are those today who glory in their own wisdom, their own strength, and their own riches. Their lives revolve around what they have and what they do. But we are called to glory in that we know and understand the Lord. The only way you can know the Lord is through a relationship with His Son Jesus Christ. When we know and understand the Lord, we will see His lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness. Notice it says He delights in these, then we are to delight in these also, by loving one another, judging rightly, and living holy lives. What are you glorying in today? God should be the center of all you are and all you do. Paul wrote; “But he that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.” (2 Corinthians 10:17).
