See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil” (Ephesians 5:15-16). We are told to walk circumspectly, in other words, live carefully. As wise Christians, we are to see the world through God’s eyes and use every opportunity to please and glorify the Lord. When the opportunity to serve the Lord arises, we should seize that moment, because evil dominates this world and eventually those opportunities may vanish. In Ephesians 5:8, we are told that we are light in the Lord and should walk as children of light. Look for the moments to serve God and be that light that someone needs today.
“Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” (John 8:31-32). You hear preachers and theologians quote verse 32 “ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” However, there is that little conjunction “and” at the beginning of verse 32. Jesus first said, “If ye continue in my Word.” In order to be truly free, you have to first know the Truth. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (John 14:6). And to know more about the Truth you must continue in His Word. Once you know the Truth and continue in His Word, then you are His disciples indeed. If you do not know the Truth and would like to know more about Jesus, go to my website T4GM.org and click on the link “How To Become A Christian.” If are a child of God, continue in His Word and be free. “Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing.” (Psalm 100:2). Today is the beginning of a new work week. Want to turn some heads today? Let the gladness of being a Child of God be evident as you move through your day. Breakout with singing, help those around you experience His joy. And if they happen not to understand, what a great opportunity to share God’s love. You may find others that will join with you as you rejoice and sing today. “Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice” (Phil 4:4). Serve the Lord and Rejoice. Have a Blessed Day!
“If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.” (1 John 4:20-21). Do we truly love one another? Love is an action verb. As we go through the day, the love of God that is in us should manifest itself in how we treat others. There is a hymn we sing called “I Love Thee” and it sums up these verses; “I love Thee, I love Thee, I love Thee, my Lord; I love Thee, my Savior, I love Thee, my God: I love Thee, I love Thee, and that Thou dost know; BUT HOW MUCH I LOVE THEE MY ACTIONS WILL SHOW.” Show the love of God today by loving others. How many times in our day-to-day lives do we do what we want to do? We just do what feels right. Have you ever thought about allowing God in on your daily planning? The Word says, “Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.” (Proverbs 16:3). How many times have you started the day by giving the day to God, or have arrived at work and gave the work day to Him? Notice again what the Scripture says, “Commit thy works unto the LORD,” that is everything you are going to do. From the rising up in the morning to the resting at night, we place everything in His hands. When you do all that, “thy thoughts shall be established.” This means your plans will be achieved. Give it all to God, even your plans, and when your plans are His you can’t go wrong. Have a Blessed Day! T4GM.ORG
“Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart” (Psalm 119:2). Do you want a blessed today? This verse tells us how. First, be obedient. You must keep God’s Word, letting it control your thoughts and actions. Secondly, you must seek God with your whole heart. God must be first in your life. He must come before everything. God must be your first love; your first thoughts must be of Him. If you seek God with all your heart, the obedience to His Word will take care of itself. Be blessed today, seek God and obey Him.
