Be Free

John 8_31-2

Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” (John 8:31-32). You hear preachers and theologians quote verse 32 “ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” However, there is that little conjunction “and” at the beginning of verse 32.  Jesus first said, “If ye continue in my Word.” In order to be truly free, you have to first know the Truth. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (John 14:6). And to know more about the Truth you must continue in His Word. Once you know the Truth and continue in His Word, then you are His disciples indeed. If you do not know the Truth and would like to know more about Jesus, go to my website T4GM.org and click on the link “How To Become A Christian.” If are a child of God, continue in His Word and be free.

Ye Are Not Your Own

1 cor 6_19-20B

What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.” (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Think about what that verse is truly saying. The Holy Spirit lives in you! He is a gift to us from God.  Since the Holy Spirit indwells us we belong to God. We equally belong to Him because we have been bought with a price. Jesus paid the price with His blood and redeemed you. Do you demonstrate evidence of the Spirit living in you? By your faith, do people know you belong to God? In the book of James, we read “shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works” (James 2:18). Everyone does not show faith the same way, but everyone who has faith shows it. Show your faith in God today and let the world know you belong to God.

Spiritual Blessings

Eph 1_3

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:” (Ephesians 1:3). We are called to bless God the Father for all the spiritual blessings he has bestowed upon us. At the moment you accepted Christ you became rich, you became a child of a King. God chose you, adopted you into His family. He redeemed you, forgave you and so much more. All of these blessings are in the heavenly realm. We may live in this physical earth, however, we are already with Christ in the heavenlies. “And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:” (Ephesians 2:6). You are in Christ Jesus and you are blessed. So, bless the Father.
