Rejoice!

Phil 4_4A

“Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.” (Philippians 4:4). This verse calls us to rejoice continually throughout our lives. A key word in this verse is “alway.” it is hard to rejoice sometimes. But, we are called to rejoice, when our lives are falling apart when our marriage is on the rocks when we have lost a loved one. Whenever a problem arises, rejoice in the Lord. We are to focus on the blessing we have in Christ and be grateful regardless of the circumstances. Circumstances may determine our happiness but only true joy comes from Jesus. Rejoice in the Lord today.

God Will Supply

Phil 4_19

“But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:19). What a wonderful promise, God will supply our need, not our greed. He will supply according to His riches. Because His riches are extravagant, He will give extravagantly to us. But why do so many Christians suffer because of their lack of certain needs? This verse does not promise that we will be rich or financially secure. However, I believe that the key to this verse is to see our lives through God’s perspective. Only then can we truly see that God has been truly faithful to His Word, and we are truly blessed? Remember the words of the Apostle Paul, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ” (Ephesians 1:3).

Living For God

Col 1_10A

“That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God” (Colossians 1:10). The key word in this passage is “worthy.” Does your walk or lifestyle ascribe worthship to Christ? Examine your heart to see if there is something in your life that is not pleasing to Him. Notice two things to help us walk worthy. First, “be fruitful in every good work.” Whatever you do, do it for Jesus. Secondly, “increase in the knowledge of God.” To know more about God, you need to spend time in His Word. Allow the Holy Spirit to guide you and speak to you. As children of God, we are to live one day at a time in a manner that would glorify and please their Lord. Walk worthy of the Lord and please Him today.

We Shall Be Like Him

1 John 3_16.jpgA

“Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.” (1 John 3:2). This is one of my favorite verses because it tells us something of our future. At the moment we see Jesus, either by death or when He returns for us, we will be like Him. We will be transformed physically and spiritually. Paul wrote it this way “Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed” (1 Corinthians 15:51-52). Doesn’t that make you excited? We were made in His image, one day we will be like Him.

Godly Children

Psa 4_3A

“But know that the LORD hath set apart him that is godly for himself: the LORD will hear when I call unto him.” (Psalm 4:3). In writing this Psalm, David knew that God Himself had set apart certain ones specifically for Himself.  Those certain ones are the godly. When it comes to salvation, God is no respecter of persons. All people desiring to be saved must repent of their sins and accept Christ as Lord and Savior. When we make Him Lord and Savior God declares us godly and we have the confidence that God will hear us when we call. This means those who are set apart God hears because they have a desire in their hearts to put God first in their lives. He is truly Lord of all. Are you one of God’s godly Children? If not, go to my website http://www.T4GM.org and click the link “How To Become A Christian.” Make Jesus your personal Savior and Lord today.

Be Free

John 8_31-2

Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” (John 8:31-32). You hear preachers and theologians quote verse 32 “ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” However, there is that little conjunction “and” at the beginning of verse 32.  Jesus first said, “If ye continue in my Word.” In order to be truly free, you have to first know the Truth. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (John 14:6). And to know more about the Truth you must continue in His Word. Once you know the Truth and continue in His Word, then you are His disciples indeed. If you do not know the Truth and would like to know more about Jesus, go to my website T4GM.org and click on the link “How To Become A Christian.” If are a child of God, continue in His Word and be free.

Ye Are Not Your Own

1 cor 6_19-20B

What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.” (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Think about what that verse is truly saying. The Holy Spirit lives in you! He is a gift to us from God.  Since the Holy Spirit indwells us we belong to God. We equally belong to Him because we have been bought with a price. Jesus paid the price with His blood and redeemed you. Do you demonstrate evidence of the Spirit living in you? By your faith, do people know you belong to God? In the book of James, we read “shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works” (James 2:18). Everyone does not show faith the same way, but everyone who has faith shows it. Show your faith in God today and let the world know you belong to God.
