He Died For All

1 John 2_2B

And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world” (1 John 2:2). This verse speaks of Christ’s work on the cross. The word “propitiation” means satisfaction or appeasement. In other words, Christ’s death on the cross satisfied God’s demand for justice and averted God’s holy wrath against believers sin. Notice Jesus died not only for believers but for the sins of the whole world. Jesus took your place on the cross and died for you so that through faith in Him you can have eternal life. Trust God

Eph 3_16A

“That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man” (Ephesians 3:16). In this prayer, Paul’s request is for believers to be strengthened in the inner man. The power, which is provided by God, is the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. We as believers must rely on the Holy Spirit to give us the strength to accomplish His will for our lives. Many of us will place our trust in our own abilities to get through the day and will not even give any regard to God. However, our trust should be in God and in the Holy Spirit to give us the strength needed for the day and every day. Remember the words of Solomon; “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” (Proverbs 3:5-6). Trust God.

Trust The Lord

Eph 6_12A

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” (Ephesians 6:12). Do you struggle to try to obey God and resist the devil? Trying to become a mature Christian is not easy and it doesn’t happen overnight. If you as a child of God trying to be obedient to God, then you are in for a fight. Your battle is not against those around you or even yourself. Our fight is against unseen forces of darkness that fight to pull your heart and mind away from a devotional love for Jesus Christ. Try putting this verse into practice “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” (Proverbs 3:5-6). Trust God and let Him fight for you.

Walk In Truth

Psa 86_11A

Teach me thy way, O LORD; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name.” (Psalm 86:11) Can we truly learn all the ways of God and walk in the truth, when in our hearts we are pulled in so many ways by the world? Many Christians put on a good act in front of others, however, in their heart, there is division. We cannot walk in God’s truth if our hearts and minds are scattered. Jesus said this way “And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment” (Mark 12:30). Focus on God today and put Him first in everything situation, and fear His name.

Are You Satisfied?

Phil 1_21A

For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.” (Philippians 1:21). Consider carefully the words of Paul, the apostle, written above. Paul is content to continue living in his physical body or to die because whichever state he found himself he was satisfied totally. If he remains here on the earth, his life for the cause of Christ would bring honor and glory to Christ. If he died, Christ would still be glorified, because, in Christ, Paul would immediately be in the presence of the Lord, and what could be greater than that? Each day you and I declare the same truth about ourselves once we know we have been born again.  This earth is not our home, we’re just passing through. Praise God for the here and now, and the hereafter!

Fear Not

2 Tim 1_7A

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” (2 Timothy 1:7). Paul was writing this to encourage Timothy, a young preacher. He was saying to him then and us today, don’t be afraid of this world and what it will do to us. Fear is not part of the Christian’s vocabulary. God has not given us a spirit of fear, but he put in us the Holy Spirit. Through the Holy Spirit, He gives us the power to overcome, love for all people, and a sound mind that is full of peace in the raging storm. Isaiah wrote; “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” (Isaiah 41:10). Trust God, rely on Him and His Word.

A Fixed Heart

Psalm 57_7A

My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed: I will sing and give praise.” (Psalm 57:7). A fixed heart, what does that mean? In a world that is falling in around us, it means we have our hearts focused on God. There is a confident assurance that God is in control. Our faith is firmly in Him. That is why David wrote; “But I trusted in thee, O LORD: I said, Thou art my God.” (Psalm 31:14). When your heart is fixed on God, you can sing and give Him praise. Let the world see the Joy that only Jesus can bring. Fix your heart on God as you worship Him today.
