Sharing Jesus

Matt 9_38But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd. Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.” (Matthew 9:36-38). Jesus had compassion on the lost house of Israel. He said they were scattered abroad as sheep having no shepherd. It is the same in our world today; the harvest is truly great, but there are very few laborers. When was the last time, you shared Christ with someone? I don’t mean living your life in front of them as a Christian. I mean verbally sharing the Good News that Jesus saves. Telling them that Jesus loves them and that He died in their place to give them eternal life. The key is prayer. Pray the Lord will send out witnesses to share the Gospel. Pray that God through the Holy Spirit will give you the power and courage to share today. Lord put someone in our paths today that we may share your love with their hearts.

Personal Reflection

Phil 2_12A

“Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.” (Philippians 2:12). What did Paul mean by the phrase “work out your own salvation with fear and trembling?” Notice he did not say work for. Every day, we need to allow the Holy Spirit to do some introspection within our hearts, to make certain they we are indeed in Christ as evidence by our daily living. We work out our salvation by walking with the Holy Spirit, as He guides us in the will of God. Are you walking in God’s will? Is the light of Christ that is shining in us, “so shining before men, that they are seeing our good works and glorifying the Father Who is in heaven?” Do some personal reflection right now to see exactly how it is between Him and you as you seek to work out your salvation.

Time With God

Isa 50_4AThe Lord GOD hath given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary: he wakeneth morning by morning, he wakeneth mine ear to hear as the learned.” (Isaiah 50:4). The prophet Isaiah seemed to spend his early mornings with the Lord. He said that God awakened him so to hear Him and give him an learned tongue with which to speak. God has chosen us who are His to share His Word. All we need is to be willing to listen, a heart that is receptive, and a tongue to proclaim what He has said. Jesus said, “Ye shall be my witnesses.” (Acts 1:8). Spend time with the Lord today in His Word and in prayer. Share with those around you what He has taught you.

Sharing Jesus

1 John 4_2

“Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:” (1 John 4:2). One way to determine whether a person is a true witness of Jesus or not, is to ask them “Who is Jesus?” If they do not teach that Jesus is the Son of God, the Savior of the world, their teaching is false, and they are not a Christian. No person can recommend Jesus if they personally do not know Him. If you do know Jesus, you have an opportunity every day to share Christ. As the verse says; the Holy Spirit in you confesses that Jesus has come in the flesh; He is the Son of God. Share Christ with someone today, you may be the only Jesus they ever see.

Praise The Lord

Psa 96_2-3

Sing unto the LORD, bless his name; shew forth his salvation from day to day. Declare his glory among the heathen, his wonders among all people.” (Psalm 96:2-3). This psalm is a call to praise God. But in doing so, we are to proclaim His salvation to a lost and dying world. We are to show them His glory and all His wonders. Take a moment to let your heart meditate on how you are going to reflect Jesus. How will you share His salvation? Verse 9 of this Psalm says “O worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness: fear before him, all the earth.” One day the whole earth will reverence God and Christ, but until then we have to show them His glory and salvation so that they may fear the Lord. Jesus said; “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” Matthew 5:16. Be a witness of God today, sing and praise His name.

Talk Of His Doings

Psa 77_11-12

I will remember the works of the LORD: surely I will remember thy wonders of old. I will meditate also of all thy work, and talk of thy doings.” (Psalm 77:11-12). Have you shared with someone what God has done and is doing in your life? For many Christians, they feel that just living the Christian life is a testimony in itself. This is true, however, according to the psalmist we are to “talk of thy doings.” We are to share with others what God has done and is doing in our lives. Many children of God don’t talk about what God is doing in their lives because they feel that God hasn’t done much. If you are truly born again, then God took you out of darkness and sin. He redeemed you and gave you salvation through His Son Jesus Christ. He also has given you eternal life and is preparing for you a home in heaven with Him. If you can’t proclaim to the world about all, the things God has done and is doing for you, then maybe you need to examine your heart and your relationship with Christ. Share God’s works and all His doings today.

Preach The Word

2 Tim 4_2A

“Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine” (2 Timothy 4:2). The Apostle Paul wrote those words to Timothy to encourage him to preach the Word; the infallible, inerrant, uncompromising Word of God. All of us, not just preachers are called to preach the Word. You may not preach It with your mouth, but your life will preach a sermon. Be careful that as a child of God your actions preach Jesus. Let someone see Jesus in you.
