Put On The New Man

Col 3_10B

“And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him” (Colossians 3:10). As believers, we are told to put on the new man, but how do you put on this new man? By renewing your mind in the knowledge of God’s Word. The more time you spend in God’s Word and placing His Word into your heart and mind, the more you will become like the image of Him that created you; the image of God and Christ. This process is called sanctification. It is a daily process to set you apart from the world unto God. Put on the new man today, become more like Christ.

Rejoice!

Phil 4_4A

“Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.” (Philippians 4:4). This verse calls us to rejoice continually throughout our lives. A key word in this verse is “alway.” it is hard to rejoice sometimes. But, we are called to rejoice, when our lives are falling apart when our marriage is on the rocks when we have lost a loved one. Whenever a problem arises, rejoice in the Lord. We are to focus on the blessing we have in Christ and be grateful regardless of the circumstances. Circumstances may determine our happiness but only true joy comes from Jesus. Rejoice in the Lord today.

God Will Supply

Phil 4_19

“But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:19). What a wonderful promise, God will supply our need, not our greed. He will supply according to His riches. Because His riches are extravagant, He will give extravagantly to us. But why do so many Christians suffer because of their lack of certain needs? This verse does not promise that we will be rich or financially secure. However, I believe that the key to this verse is to see our lives through God’s perspective. Only then can we truly see that God has been truly faithful to His Word, and we are truly blessed? Remember the words of the Apostle Paul, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ” (Ephesians 1:3).

Let His Word Dwell In You

Col 3_16A.jpg

“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.” (Colossians 3:16) What a verse to start the morning with. As you prepare for the day, dwell on His Word. Allow the Holy Spirit to speak to you as you spend time in God’s Word. Let His Word permeate your whole being. Also, don’t forget to help others by sharing the Word of God. Teach and sing the Word to each other through the grace that God has given you in your heart. May God bless your time with Him today as you praise and worship Him.

Walk In The Spirit

Gal 5_16A

“This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.” (Galatians 5:16). Do we truly let the Holy Spirit lead us every moment of our lives or does the flesh reign? Someone has said we could do 90% of our worship services in the flesh and no one would know the difference. “To “Walk in the Spirit” means to be under the constant, moment-by-moment direction, control, and guidance of the Spirit rather than ourselves. The Holy Spirit controls our thoughts, attitudes, and our actions. The Apostle Paul wrote, “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.” (Romans 8:14). Be a child of God today, Walk in the Spirit.

The Lord Is Alive

Psa 18_46

“The LORD liveth; and blessed be my rock; and let the God of my salvation be exalted.” (Psalm 18:46). What a wonderful verse of praise. This morning as you prepare for the day, take a moment and praise God. Praise Him because he is alive. Jesus said in Revelation 1:18 “I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.” Praise also because He is our Rock, a firm foundation that will not be moved. Our Lord is alive, and he is our Rock, a sure foundation. Praise Him today and every day. Rejoice in the Lord, Hallelujah!!

Abide In Me

John 15_5B

“I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.” (John 15:5). In this verse, Jesus is telling His disciples that as branches on the vine, they must depend on Him. He says “without Me ye can do nothing.” It is impossible for us to bear fruit if we do not stay connected to the life-giving Vine. Without Jesus, we can do nothing. As children of God, we must depend on Him for all our spiritual and physical needs. He will supply and bring forth much fruit. Allow the Holy Spirit to work in you and through you, today.
