Is God Listening?

Hebrews 13_5

Do you sometimes wonder if God is even listening to your prayers? There are times in our Christian walk that we seem all alone, so barren, God is just not speaking or moving in our lives. Let me assure you, God is always there. Hebrews 13:5 tells us; “I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” But why doesn’t He answer? Psalm 66:18 gives some insight on what may be wrong in our lives, it reads, “If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me.” There are times that we allow sin to creep into our lives. This sin becomes a barrier between us and God. Isaiah wrote; “But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.” (Isaiah 59:2). What is in your life that has separated you from God, so He cannot hear you. Confess your sins today and repent. This means to tell God you are sorry for your sin and to turn away from the sin and not to do it again. Get your heart right with God today and begin anew with your prayers to Him. He will hear you.

A Child Of God

John 1_12A“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name” (John 1:12). John is telling us that those of us who have believed in Christ and received Him as Savior, that through God’s transforming power we become children of God. Let that sink in for a moment. That is what you are, a child of God. The following verse, (V. 13), tells us that God does all the transforming through His power. “Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” Are you a child of God? Do you know Jesus as your Savior? If not, go to my website http://www.T4GM.org and click the link “How To Become A Christian.” Remember who you are, if you know Jesus you are a Child of God.

Worship In Spirit And In Truth

John 4_24“But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” (John 4:23-24). In His conversation with the woman at the well, Jesus provides us with the true way to worship God. First of all the hour is now. No longer must men go to a temple or an altar to worship God. Through Jesus’ death and the coming of the Holy Spirit, God’s presence now dwells in the hearts and lives of His people. We can worship God anywhere and at any time. To worship in spirit is a heartfelt worship. It is our spirit communing and fellowshipping with God through the Holy Spirit. To worship in truth is to worship the one true way, through His Son Jesus Christ. Notice one thing; the Father seeks people to worship Him. God created man to worship and have fellowship with Him. God seeks people who will worship Him in spirit and in truth. Take a moment right now and worship God in spirit and in truth.

Doing The Will Of The Father

Matt 7_21A

Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.” (Matthew 7:21). Many people know and call Jesus, Lord. However, that does not guarantee entrance into heaven. According to this verse, only those that are obedient to the Father’s will gain entrance into the kingdom. The will of the Father is to believe that Jesus is the Messiah and to respond to that belief by accepting Him as Savior and Lord. As Jesus said; “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (John 14:6). Only through your personal faith in Jesus, will you be able to enter into the kingdom of heaven. Do you know Jesus as your personal Savior and Lord, If not go to my website http://www.T4GM.org and click the link “How To Become A Christian?” Be sure that Jesus is Lord of your life.

It Is Your Choice

Rom 8_6

“For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.” (Romans 8:6). This verse gives us two ways in which we can live. You can live a carnal or fleshly life, in which you live by your desires. Whatever is right in your eyes, heart or mind, you live it. The result of the carnal life is death. The spiritual way of life represents a life yielded to the Holy Spirit. It is a life that is surrendered to the Lordship of Christ. The result is life everlasting and peace with God. Which way will you choose?

Grace Of God

1 Cor 15_10

But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.” (1 Corinthians 15:10). The grace of God had saved Paul, and it also changed him. It was not by his own accomplishments but by God’s grace he was who he was. Many people including Christians desire a change in their lives. Many desire to have more money, a different lifestyle, even a different family. By His grace, God has made you who you are and put you where you are for a purpose. It is God’s grace that has saved you or will save you. It is His grace that will transform you into the person that God wants you to be if you will allow the Holy Spirit to work in your life. Embrace God’s grace and who you are. If you know Christ as your Savior, one thing is certain, you are a child of a King.

Dominated By Christ

Rom 6_14

For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.” (Romans 6:14). What has dominion over you? Does anger, pride, laziness, greed or complaining? If any sin is dominating you, then perhaps you need to ask yourself, “Am I really converted.” Sin will be present in our lives, but it will not dominate our lives. We have been set free in Christ Jesus; “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God.” (Ephesians 2:8). By our faith in Christ, we have been changed. No longer are we under the law striving to please God by doing what we think is right. We are under Grace because of what Jesus did at Calvary. Don’t let sin dominate you, let Jesus dominate your life.
