Jesus is the only Way!

John 14_6A“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (John 14:6). According to Jesus’ own words, no one can come to the Father but through Him. Jesus was not saying that I will direct you to the way or that I am one way among many. He is the way to God, the Truth of God, and The Life of God. Any religion that makes Jesus’ role different from the one that the Bible gives Him will not bring people to God or give them eternal life. Paul wrote; “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” (Romans 10:9-10). Do you know Jesus as your Savior and Lord? Trust in Jesus today, He is the only Way.

Wisdom From Above

“But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.” (James 3:17-18). Heavenly wisdom is what every child of God should exhibit in their lives. Paul tells us; “Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth” (Colossians 3:2). What is your mind focused on today? Is your mind filled with wisdom from above or is it “earthly, sensual, and devilish” (James 3:15)? Keep your mind focused on the wisdom that is from above. Focus your mind on Christ.

Depend on God

1 Pet1_7“That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:” (1Peter 1:7). Just as gold is purified by fire, so our faith is purified by trials. God purifies our faith with trials, helping us to realize that we must depend solely on Him alone to bring us through each situation. The result is that our faith is found to bring praise, honor, and glory to God at the Lord’s appearing. Are you trusting in God to help you through every trial?

Call on God

Psa 4_3

“But know that the LORD hath set apart him that is godly for himself: the LORD will hear when I call unto him.” (Psalm 4:3). In our modern age, we stay in touch with each other in so many ways. With the invention of the smartphone, we can communicate by a call, text, email, and even video chat. Wow, we have come a long way. But guess what! It has always been that way between God and His children. When you call on Him, you will never get a busy signal, nor will you have to leave a message. What a blessing that is. Give God a call right now and prove it to yourself, He will hear His godly children.

It is Time to be Holy

2 Chron 7_14“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14). If you look at the news on TV or your computer, I believe you would agree with me that every day it is getting worse in our world. This verse tells us exactly why this happening. Most of God’s people have not humbled themselves, nor have they prayed, nor sought God’s face, nor turned from their wicked ways. God’s people have compromised with the world and they like it. It is time for the Church to turn totally back to God. It is time for us to humble ourselves, pray, and repent. Examine your heart and see how much God has of you and how you have of God! It is time to be holy.

God’s Love

Psalm 136_1“O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.” (Psalm 136:1). the word mercy in Hebrew is “chesed.” It means love. Just think,  God’s love for you never ends. His love for all of us is a steadfast love that endures forever. Jesus told us about God’s love when he said; “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16). Take a few moments today to dwell on the fact that God’s love for you is everlasting.

Walk as Children of Light

Eph 5_8“For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:” (Ephesians 5:8). We are encouraged in this verse to walk as children of light. Paul tells us we were darkness, not in darkness. We receive Christ as our Lord and Savior we become light in the Lord. John wrote; “In him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.” (John 1:4-5). Undoubtedly, these believers were not walking as children of light because Paul had to remind them. As you go through your day, will you reflect the light of Christ? Walk as children of Light.
